All fabric is Preshrunk but some shrinkage will occur with the 100% Cotton Canvas Duck & Ripstop. All StumpTown Kilts can be ironed with low heat if desired. A cotton slip cloth is recommended for Twill.
P/C-Twill - Roll inside out and machine wash cold. Then fold in half, smooth, fold in half again, hand smooth pleats and clip to hang. Super easy. Reverse fold as it dries and it will dry faster.
100% Cotton Canvas Duck & Ripstop - Roll inside out and machine wash cold. Hand press and smooth pleats, then fold in half, fold in half again, hand smooth and clip hang to dry. Reverse fold as it dries and it will dry faster. For crisp pleats, cotton will require a warm ironing.
Rolling your STK inside out will protect your hardware finish for the years of Kilt wearing to come. Soaking it in the rinse cycle with fabric softener for 20ish minutes will help soften your new STK.
Note: StumpTown Kilts are no longer riveted on the belt loops.
